Old Cartlett House is a small friendly Bed and Breakfast ideally situated near St Davids within the stunning scenery of the Pembrokeshire National Park.

Old Cartlett House is set in the village of Trefin, a designated area of outstanding natural beauty.  The coastal path and secluded beach at Aberfelin are just a five minute walk from the house. Trefin is situated in a peaceful rural location midway between Fishguard and St Davids.

The owners, Martyn and Sue, provide a warm welcome with a homely, friendly relaxed atmosphere.The house is full of character, some parts dating back to the sixteenth century. We specialise in providing breakfast using locally sourced produce wherever possible. Breakfast is served between 7.30 am and 9.30 am. If you have any special dietary requirements please let us know at time of booking.

            grilled Pembrokeshire back bacon with a choice of:

  • continental breakfast with freshly baked rolls
  • croissants      

 This is accompanied by toast with a selection of local jam, marmalade or honey, a pot of tea or cafetiere of coffee. Tea selection: breakfast tea, Earl Grey or herbal

Tariff                Bed and Breakfast

£35 per person per night (based on 2 people sharing a double room). £42 per person per night for single occupancy. There will be a discount of 10% for bookings of 4 nights or longer.

 

 

Gus, our friendly spaniel, who is part of the family and lives at Old Cartlett House along with two young cats Fred and Barney.

How to find us:

From Haverfordwest take the A40 towards Fishguard for 8 miles. At Letterston, turn left onto the B4331 to St Davids. After 4.5 miles, at the A487, turn left towards St. Davids. After 2.5 miles, drive past the Square and Compass Inn on the right, and take the next right turn signed Trefin. Drive through the tiny hamlet of Penparc. After 1 mile, as you enter Trefin, turn right, signposted Abercastle. Drive past a small campsite. Old Cartlett House is the first house on the left.

From St Davids take the road towards Fishguard. Drive through Croesgoch and take the left turn as you enter Square and Compass signed Trefin. Follow directions as above.

Available for bookings from the beginning of March until the end of October and during all other school holidays.
